Skip OOBE, create a local account, set locale/keyboard, wipe & partition
the disk automatically, bypass the Microsoft-account requirement and the TPM 2.0 /
Secure Boot / RAM checks. Build it with the wizard, edit the XML directly, or upload
your own file.
not set — Windows Setup asks everything
Edition pinning EI.cfg / PID.txtoff
Pin one edition so Setup never asks which to install, and pre-seed the
matching public Microsoft KMS client key (GVLK) so the product-key screen is
skipped. Volume media still activates against your KMS/AD afterwards.
Boot & image tweaks
defaults
Which edition Setup preselects, how the finished ISO boots and how the
install image is stored.
First-boot script $OEM$ → SetupComplete.cmdempty
Runs once with SYSTEM rights after Setup finishes — install agents, join
domains, apply configs. Leave empty to skip.
Custom builds are temporary: they auto-delete after 24 h unless you
click Persist once the build is done. Persisting moves the ISO into
Available files / the storage account.
Custom builds auto-delete after 24 h unless persisted.
+ Custom
Import an ISOBring an existing image into the library — it is checked while it
transfers and identified automatically (build, language, editions).
autounattend.xml
Region & input — what Setup writes into the finished install
Display language (UILanguage) follows the ISO language you picked
above — Windows can only show a language that is on the media, so there is nothing to
choose here. Region & formats (UserLocale) sets date, time, number
and currency format, keyboard layout (InputLocale) the physical layout
you type on; both are independent of it — e.g. English Windows with German formats on a
QWERTZ keyboard. Picking a region preselects the matching keyboard and time zone.
Computer & local account — created during Setup, no Microsoft account needed
The password is written into the XML as
plain text — Setup offers nothing stronger. Fine for lab images; never put a
production password here.
Behaviour — everything is off by default, tick what you need
nothing yet
Import an ISO
no file chosen yet
The file is checked while it transfers
(must be a real ISO 9660 image, up to the size limit). After the transfer the server
reads the Windows manifest inside the image to fill in build, architecture, language
and editions automatically. Imports stay private until an admin shares them.

You can close this window — the import keeps running on the server
and appears under Available files when done.
